What is Salonat?
Salonat is a social app designed to connect you with your friends’ friends and turn separate social circles into one extended happy social world weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! I guess that’s the point but of course that’s too much work! We can’t do that, maybe not right now. Maybe in 2037 :)
So what Salonat really does right now is this: it helps friends introduce their friends (that maybe don’t know each other and they believe might be a good fit) to each other. And that sometimes sometimes, sometimeees as our name suggests leads to a romantic match and they get to go on a digital blind date (I guess you could call it that…)
And sometimes it’s just a very very very lovely friendly match because that’s very fun too!
The point we are trying to make is…. our friends need to show up more for us and us, as their friends, need to show up more for them and everyone needs to start setting up everyone with each other (motivation in case its needed).
Salonat is a friends-first social app for thoughtful introductions. People you trust host a private “salon” (their circle), can mix and match friends who might not know each other yet, and—when both sides agree—help you meet through structured icebreaker games instead of a cold swipe-only inbox.
How it works
2. Your salon
Your salon is your social virtual 3D space where you can:
- Invite your friends and add them to your salon.
- Furnish your salon in whatever style you want, add cool gadgets, play some funky music, make it just the right vibe for you — a vibe that represents you! If you're wondering why you need to furnish, other than its fun and chic (as the kidz say these dayz) to do, its because as the saying goes… “law msh gahez tefresh teb2a msh gahez tetgawez.”
- Mix and Match is what Salonat is all about! You mix and match your friends with each other. In simpler terms, this just means you swipe through all your friends and then when you feel like you’ve found two people that you think might vibe, you match them. And boom! Match sent!
3. Matching
If you match two of your friends (that know or don’t know each other), they get notifications that you matched them but wouldnt know who matched them with. If they both accept this anonymous match, they can start playing icebreaker games anonymously, Throughout this process, you can track the progress… Did they accept? Are they playing? What’s happening with them?
Because it’s our social and dating should be a shared fun social experience and it’s funner when we’re all invested in each other’s (our friends! Not like anyone) lives.
4. Getting matched
If a friend matches you with someone in their salon and you both accept without knowing anything about the other person, you get to play icebreaker games with them. If one of you doesn’t accept, no icebreaker games are played, unfortunately :( (Ew don’t do that! Accepting is fun.)
5. Icebreaker games
Icebreaker games are 4 rounds of very simple games you get to play with your match, your friends’ friend. Every round of the 4 rounds, something about the other person is revealed.
- 1st: their first name.
- 2nd: your mutual friend’s impression and why they think you would vibe.
- 3rd: voice notes (because someone’s voice and how they speak can tell us so much!)
- 4th: their full profile is unlocked!
